The mission of our dance organization is to enrich the lives of our members and the
surrounding community through the art of dance. We strive to increase awareness of
dance through community engagement and various performances. Our organization enables
students to enhance their dance educations by creating opportunities for further dance
study, research, and performance on a global scale.
What We Do
Our NDEO WKU Student Chapter works to provide dance opportunities to members of our chapter and the WKU and Bowling Green communities. Each semester, we host multiple events both on and off campus to raise awareness of the art of dance. Exciting events such as children's dance camps, master classes with guest artists, international festivals, and many more allow us to give people of all ages chances to learn about and experience dance in fun new ways!
Who Can Join
Any student currently enrolled in at least one dance class through the Theatre and
Dance Department of Western Kentucky University is eligible to join our NDEO Student
Chapter! Please contact us at email@example.com if you would like to take the first
step to joining our chapter.
As a member of this chapter, students gain valuable leadership experience while developing
their own professional skills as well as servicing others. Our chapter has been able
to help the WKU Dance Program bring in guest artists such as Victor Alexander of the
Ruth Page Center for the Arts and Jim Cooney from Broadway Dance Center. Additionally,
the NDEO WKU Student Chapter has awarded dance scholarships to members and supported
student travel to the Tennessee Association of Dance Festival, American College Dance
Festival, and Italy to study abroad! This organization offers a unique opportunity
to develop teaching, creating, collaborating, and advocating skills while focusing
on the beautiful art of dance!
