Dance Outreach Events

The NDEO WKU Student Chapter extends its reach beyond WKU's campus into the Bowling Green community! In addition to our on campus events, our chapter hosts several events that have an impact on lives all over the Bowling Green community. Read the information below to find out more about these opportunities!

Children's Dance Camps

With the support of Dance Arts of Bowling Green's generous donation of their studio space, the NDEO WKU Student Chapter offers morning dance camps each semester for children ages 3-8. No previous dance experience is required; we encourage all children who love to dance to come for a day full of fun! Activities include dance classes, crafts, snack time, and a showcase performance for parents at the end of the day!

Watch our calendar for Fall 2015 children's dance camps and information to register!

School Presentations

In order to educate younger students about dance, our chapter offers an exciting presentation to local area schools. Our goal is to foster interest not only in the art form of dance, but also to get up, get moving, and live an active lifestyle! The presentation includes a discussion and movement experience for students ranging in grades K-8. The knowledge and experience that we deliver helps schools meet the requirements of the Kentucky Core Academic Standards in Arts and Humanities. In addition, members of the WKU Dance Company may attend the event to perform choreography.
