Many manufacturers in the commonwealth of Kentucky sought and obtained certification that met the standards set forth in ISO 9001:2008 regarding their Quality Management System. A revision to the ISO 9001 standard was created in 2015 and subsequently finalized and released in 2016. This new standard is referred to as ISO 9001:2015. Are you familiar with the new standard? More importantly, can your internal auditors conduct an effective audit of your Quality Management System and verify that it meets the new standard? If you do not know the answers to these questions or if you would have to answer “no” to these questions, there is still time to have your auditors trained to the new standard and its new requirements.
AKA offers an open class on Internal Auditing for the new ISO 9001:2015 Standard. Internal auditing of your Quality Management System is a requirement of ISO 9001:2015 as it was with the previous version. However, there are quite a few changes in the new Standard. Learn all the new requirements and how to audit to them in this class. Upon completion of this class, your auditors will be certified, and “fully competent” to audit the new standard, as required by all the ISO Quality Management Systems. AKA’s training is performed by a certified Internal Auditor-Trainer. This training will encompass two days of instruction as outlined in the ISO 19011, “Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems” Standard.
With the in-depth training from this class, participants will learn every facet of auditing to the new standard including, developing the audit plan, performing the audit, collecting data, interviewing, closing the audit and issuing corrective actions where necessary. The class will use a combination of training and real life exercises to ensure each participant develops the ability to perform internal audits for your company and to perform audits of your company’s suppliers.
AKA’s Training includes:
Understanding the requirements of ISO 9001:2015;
- How to apply the new requirements to your Company's QMS;
- Supply and use of an audit checklist;
- How to prepare and complete an internal and external audit;
- Use of proper techniques to conduct an audit effectively and efficiently;
- How to complete all the required paperwork;
- How to issue and categorize major and minor non-conformances;
- How to complete a follow-up audit; and
- Planning for future audits.
