To All Interested Parties:
KAIC is excited to announce our "Cyber Security and Quality Management" workshops in partnership with the Kentucky Procurement Technical Assistance Center, the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs, Advantage Kentucky Alliance MEP, and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System!
These workshops will be focused on 3 main topics that will be of great interest to any manufacturer, service provider, economic developer, or government employee.
Our first topic will be on Cyber Security. In order to do business with the US Department of Defense, other Federal Government entities or OEMs you will be required to adhere to the "NIST" cyber security standards that will ensure your company is less exposed to the dangerous breaches that occur daily. We will provide a qualified cyber security contractor that will walk you through the process to ensure you understand the requirements of these standards. Additionally for qualified companies there will be the opportunity for you to be selected to get a one on one "deeper dive" consultation from our cyber contractor.
The second topic will focus on the AS9100 and ISO9000 quality management systems. These quality management systems are extremely important certifications to achieve if you are looking to do business with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers within the defense or aerospace industries. Advantage Kentucky Alliance will provide information at this workshop to include in depth information on the requirements, auditing process, and cost-benefit analysis of achieving these certifications. If you are interested in achieving these certifications we will be able to help you through that process.
Finally we will discuss workforce issues with the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs and walk you through some opportunities and programs that will help you find the right person and a qualified person for your open positions. We know that workforce is always an issue when you are looking to grow and expand and we want to be sure to help you meet those needs!
These events will be held at KCTCS campuses across the state! Check out the link below to see when we will be coming to your area!
