As our programs aim to achieve gains in children’s development and learning, how can we assure that teachers and all staff continue to be successful? What are some significant next steps that can propel quality and achievement?

Come join us for an engaging, and thought provoking time! T/TAS at Western Kentucky University is pleased to host The Domain of Relationships: Affirming Effective Interactions as the Key for Learning. This interactive training opportunity is specifically designed for individuals and teams responsible for ensuring that classroom staff are successful in their daily teaching practices. Applying mentoring and coaching practices, along with interactive adult learning formats, this seminar will focus on enhancing meaningful interactions and positive relationships. Through these intentional strategies, children can reach their full potential.

With a focus on the accountability benchmarks in CLASS, participants will engage in discussion and practice activities to more fully understand each of the dimensions. Ideas for how to coach and mentor classroom teachers through peer-topeer exchanges, effective structured approaches, and individual attention will be modeled. At the core of the presentation is how to successfully support, improve, and challenge staff success.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will expand knowledge on how CLASS continues to impact quality factors in classrooms;
  • Participants will explore and develop coaching and mentoring strategies to assist classroom staff;
  • Participants will affirm the importance of positive emotional support in classrooms;
  • Participants will utilize facilitation skills to engage children’s behavior characteristics;
  • Participants will enhance instructional best practices that result in meaningful learning; and
  • Participants will develop staff professional development steps that extend the content of the training.
