Active Membership is our policy to show your activity in our chapter and encourage you to be involved in professional development, social, and volunteer events and activities. How It Works

To satisfy Active Membership requirements, each member should obtain at least 5 points each semester that they are in TBP and must obtain the total cumulation of points by time of graduation. For example, a member who is in TPB for 3 semesters (semester of initiation included) must receive 15 points by the time of graduation. Satisfying Active Membership gains the member the privilage of receiving TBP graduation gear at the expense of the chapter. The system can only benefit members and does not prevent members from receiving graduation gear through their own expense.

 

Obtaining Points

Attend Four of Five Total General Chapter Meetings	2 Points
Polished Bent (Approved with Final Picture)	2 Points
Attend Initiation (As Initiate)	2 Points
Attend Initation (As Member)	1 Point
Participate in TBP Social Event	1 Point/Ea
Participate in TBP Professional Event	1 Point/Ea
Participate in TBP Volunteer Event	1 Point/Ea
Win Chapter Competition	1 Point/Ea

Note: Additional opportunities to earn points or compensate for categoies may arise.

Examples 

1) Additional meetings such as Electee information sessions may count as bonus towards general meetings category.

2) Approved professional development events organized and hosted through another engineering students org. may be counted.
