Mission

Our mission is to engage pre-college students in philosophy - in Warren County, Kentucky, and beyond.

We believe that philosophy is for everyone. Kentuckians ask philosophical questions every day: "Am I happy?" "Am I doing the right thing?" "Does God exist?" "What will happen after I die?" "Can computers think?" "How do I know that?" "Is this a good argument"

Unfortunately, many Kentuckians find no classroom opportunities to engage in philosophy. That is where we come in: Philosophy on the Hilltop provides a structured and safe environment to exercise and build their philosophical muscles (their noggin!).

We support the purpose of wonderful organizations like PLATO that are trying to bring philosophy to the wider student population. Because philosophy is too important to wait until college.
