In efforts to make nutrition labeling of packaged foods easier to understand, the most significant food label update in the past 20 years has just occurred. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the country's largest professional organization of nutrition professionals, is in agreement with the updated, more consumer-friendly "Nutrition Facts Panel" update.
