At the heart of every Head Start program is the commitment for families to be integral in their child’s success in development and learning as well as their own growth and advancement. In this virtual training event, participants in Families Matter will have a fuller understanding of the dynamics in building authentic individual relationships with families in good and challenging times. The overall intent is for the entire team to weave the strengths of each family member. The desired result is that every child and parent can achieve a sense of success.

Participants in Families Matter can expect a deeper understanding of the underlying principles and practices in effective family engagement. Each family will be welcomed with a foundation of respect and trust as a platform for authentic relationships. This virtual event will discuss the use of strength-based approaches in creating truly meaningful relationships, regardless of individual family circumstances.

Families Matter will provide strategies and solutions in meeting the goals of the seven outcomes in the Head Start Family Community Engagement Framework (HSFCEF) in practical and positive ways. Time will be provided to discuss, address, and seek solutions to the ever-changing needs of individual families, especially during this difficult period. The T/TAS facilitating team is committed in reaffirming the key role of families in every Head Start program. Join us for this event as strategies, solutions, and ideas provide purpose and motivation for our work with families.
